For the first time in a million years The University of Houston Cougars defeated a top ten ranked opponent. They gave The Oklahoma State Cowboys about all that they could handle, and they couldn’t handle it. This is a big win! Cougars fans have been waiting for this for a long time. It was 8 years ago that we went 0-11. This has been a work in progress and it is finally showing some returns. This win was not only for the current fans and the band wagon jumpers that will come of this. The old Cougars should feel every bit a part of this win as the players that were on the field on Saturday. Dave Maggard, Art Briles, Kevin Kolb, Donny Avery, Anthony Aldridge and all the other Cougars should feel every bit as proud! This could not have been done without all the people involved in the past 8 years.
It is time to look forward now, and continue to strive to become a better University. To increase our exposure at the national level, and give students, alumni and band wagon jumpers something to cheer for.
